Memorial Day
Don't forget about the men and women who have served or are serving this blessed country of ours today.
My husband still gets choked up when here talks about the 4 days he spent in the hospital at Fort Meade in Maryland having surgery on his index finder to remove a tumor.
He was 13 years old and the only civilian in the 40 bed room with soldiers who had recently returned from Vietnam. The worst part was the day in intensive care after surgery, with soldiers recovering from far more traumatic operations than his.
The experience is one he'll never forget and his appreciation for what so many men and women have done so courageously will never wane.
Please join us in saluting these soldiers today.
Thank you!
Kathy
