Your ideas will vanish into thin air if you do not claim time to bring them to life. Dedicate focused and concentrated time to develop your creativity and excellence.
The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence,
regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.
Vincent T. Lombardi
How many times has your mind been wrestling with an idea or concept, you are almost to a point of an actionable response when you get interrupted? When you finally get a chance to get back to that potential breakthrough you have lost its brilliance. You recreate it to the best of your ability, but know you are still missing that one spark that will set it ablaze. Many times you get it all back eventually, but you wasted so much time getting back to that magical place of breakthrough.
Breakthroughs need space to formulate. That space can come in the form of uninterrupted time, creative exploration, focus and concentration. Often we do not know when breakthroughs or great ideas will happen but if you capture them when they arrive then dedicate time to them later you will develop a practice of harnessing and bring to light many of your ideas and breakthroughs.
Your Turn:
This is your breakthrough moment. This week capture your ideas into a notebook, journal or PDA, something that you can easily carry with you wherever you go. Ideas will come at strange times, capture them all. Besides carrying a notebook, I keep scuba diver pad in the shower to capture and work through my ideas, water in many forms causes creative ideas to flow for me. This week dedicate 20 minutes of focus, uninterruptible time everyday to your ideas and breakthroughs. The more you get into the habit of doing this the easier this time will come and the more space you will naturally give to the breakthrough process.

The thing to remember is that you are creating a format so that you can come up with solutions as a family. This makes the family unit the authority instead of just you (which is a set up for power struggles).
